Project "Heritage - Connection": New Steps in Preserving Intangible Cultural Heritage

The Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Fund is responsible for executing this initiative, which aims to safeguard and enhance the intangible cultural heritage values of Vietnam.

During the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, who serves as the President of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club and also as the Director of the Fund to Support the Preservation of Vietnamese Cultural Heritage, provided insights on the significance of the project. She stressed the importance of safeguarding and promoting intangible cultural heritage as a valued asset.

The “Heritage - Connection” project will focus on the following activities

  • Calling for the participation of organizations and individuals who love Vietnamese culture, country and people to build and promote traditional cultural space and Vietnamese cultural heritage to domestic and international friends.
  • Organize educational activities to raise awareness of cultural heritage preservation for young people, especially pupils and students.
  • Support communities that preserve intangible cultural heritage values.

The "Heritage - Connection" project aims to disseminate the significance of cultural heritage within the community, while also mobilizing resources for the preservation and enhancement of these values.

According to Ms. Phung Thi Thu Thuy, the leader of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Ho Chi Minh City, the club's members would enthusiastically carry out the project's initiatives. In the future, the Club will actively encourage individuals and businesses to engage in community projects. It will also strive to enhance the program content by fostering connections with talented individuals, heritage houses, art, and music. Additionally, there will be a strong emphasis on expanding programs in high schools and universities to promote awareness and education regarding the conservation of cultural heritage.

The "Heritage - Connection" project represents a novel advancement in the conservation of Vietnam's intangible cultural assets. This initiative aims to enhance community knowledge on the significance of cultural heritage, while also mobilizing resources to safeguard and promote these values. FYT is a pioneering partner of the project, assisting in the organization of CSR events to promote Vietnamese cultural heritage and documenting feedback to ensure the continued improvement of the project's programming. Enhance and facilitate the project's efforts to document and save narratives pertaining to the perpetuation of companionship legacies, in order to contribute to heritage preservation endeavors and establish a successor team for the project.
