HERITAGE - CONNECTING TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF VIETNAM'S CULTURAL INDUSTRY

IT IS KNOWN THAT THE CONNECTING HERITAGE NETWORK IS CURRENTLY OPERATED BY THE VIETNAMESE AO DAI HERITAGE CLUB - A MEMBER OF THE VIETNAMESE CULTURAL HERITAGE PRESERVATION SUPPORT FUND. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL US ABOUT THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROJECT?

The Network's motto is "Connect, Create, Inherit". Along with the national heritages recognized by UNESCO, each organization and individual is creating heritage every day. These are works and products that are useful to the community, knowledge, experience, successful lessons and extensive relationships of leaders, experts, artisans, record holders - people who have influence on the community and wish to be transferred to the next generation.
The Connecting Heritage Network is being developed in provinces and cities of Vietnam and countries with bilateral relations with Vietnam to gather dedicated members to promote, honor, preserve and maintain these precious heritages.
This is a social project in which ATIM Consulting plays the role of a general consultant from writing the project, building the organizational structure, control regulations to consulting on the selection of suitable companions and members.

COULD YOU PLEASE INTRODUCE THE SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES OF THE CONNECTED HERITAGE NETWORK?

The Network has had positive starting points, beginning a meaningful journey of connecting, creating and preserving heritage.

1. Promoting cultural heritage through CSR events ‘Heritage - Connection’ and cultural heritage tours:

- The event “Heritage Connection Reunion” held at Quang San Art Museum brought together culturalists, managers of heritage houses, record holders, experts, professors from universities to share and contribute ideas, realizing the goal of promoting and preserving national, local, business, entrepreneur and family cultural heritage of the Network.

- The event series “Ho Chi Minh City – Heritage - Connection” is a cultural heritage tour model with diverse activities including: Seminar on entrepreneurial heritage; Exchange and explore cooperation opportunities with the University of Technology and Design UEH, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (CTD-UEH) for the plan to technologize promotional activities, co-promote and preserve cultural heritage; Visit 4 booths of the Ao Dai Museum in the Vietnam-Japan Festival and exchange with the Museum Director Huynh Ngoc Van; Promote the exhibition of the photo collection "Heritage around us" by record holder Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam; and the exhibition NEXTGEN ART: SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH ARTTECH of the Faculty of Communication Design Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, introducing sculptures by young authors and the painting collection of artist Nguyen Duy Nhut; Exchange with art collector Tran Hau Tuan and the Board of Directors of Quang San Art Museum; Enjoy traditional paintings, music and cuisine at Nguyen's Art Garden; exchange and explore cooperation opportunities with partners, future members and affiliated organizations.

2. Successor Program: to support network members in training a successor team with a 3-5 year roadmap, starting with seminar programs at schools, connecting network members with suitable students, building leader and successor portraits, advising members to systematize training materials through "live" work, digitizing the storage system, creating a premise for developing e-learning for trainee management positions, organizing brand ambassador competitions, piloting at 1-2 schools towards wider implementation at suitable schools domestically and internationally. Recently, the 'Successor' program was organized by the network for sponsors of the Peaking Point 2024 competition, which are Network partners such as Richfield, ATIM, FYT, Secoin, Renso and the Student In Free Enterprise board, and other clubs of RMIT. Most recently, Diamond Journey Corp (DJC) with its platform “Elite Knowledge Heritage Bank - Hundred-year Digital Library” has joined the network, providing effective tools to implement the Successor program.

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ABOUT PROMOTING VIETNAM'S HERITAGE VALUES?

Vietnam has 15 cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritages of humanity. Some of Vietnam's industries such as seafood, coffee, rice, furniture and handicrafts, garments, leather and footwear... are also among the top in the world in terms of export turnover. We believe that, with the consensus and determination of members who are both businesses and influential leaders in key economic sectors; as well as organizations and individuals who love cultural heritage, wishing to combine with cultural heritage to write a story of connection, creation, and inheritance of the traditions of the industry, businesses, businessmen and families, all will create a wonderful harmony of Vietnamese traditions, Vietnamese values, Vietnamese brands domestically and internationally. When trade and investment are promoted alongside cultural heritage through CSR events “Heritage-Connection” and cultural heritage tours, we will simultaneously achieve two goals: increasing the value of Vietnamese brands and contributing to the journey of honoring and preserving cultural heritage, contributing to the development of Vietnam’s cultural industry.

Thank you for sharing.
